Ana Torres is an Adjunct Professor at the Portuguese Red Cross School of Healthcare of the North (ESSNorteCVP) and an integrated member at Center for Health Technology and Services Research (CINTESIS) – AgeingC Research Group.

Professor Ana Torres is a psychologist, effective member of the Portuguese Psychologists Association (OPP). She is a member of the Scientific Committee of the social bodies of the Portuguese Academy of Psycho-Oncology (APPO) and member of the OPP Jurisdictional Council, also integrating its team of trainers.

She has extensive clinical and research experience in the field of Psycho-Oncology, having completed a PhD with a grant funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and support from the Portuguese League Against Cancer (LPCC) in the scope of group intervention in breast cancer survivors (cognitive-behavioral therapy and psychoeducation). She also contributed with assessment and intervention instruments in this area.

Professor Ana Torres is the scientific co-supervisor of the PhD project within the scope of this research, in the field of Psycho-Oncology and, more specifically, intervention with cancer survivors.
