Helena Sousa is a PhD Research Fellow in Psychology with a grant funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) at the Department of Education and Psychology at the University of Aveiro and an integrated member at Center for Health Technology and Services Research (CINTESIS) – AgeingC Research Group.

Helena Sousa is a clinical and health psychologist, effective member of the Portuguese Psychologists Association (OPP).

Her current research interests focus on Psycho-Nephrology. She has clinical and research experience in Psycho-Oncology, namely clinical intervention with patients and caregivers, having worked in patient support associations and at a specialized hospital in the area of cancer. She also has research experience in the field of Neurosciences, including the study of cancer-related cognitive impairment.

In this project, she collaborates in the fields of Psycho-Oncology, Clinical Intervention and Neurosciences.
